GBI Agent Talks Criminal Investigations During Ethics Week at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Nov. 8

VALDOSTA — Special Agent in Charge Jason Seacrist will present Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Bureau of Investigation: Leadership Lessons From High Profile Criminal Investigations from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Valdosta State University’s Health Sciences and Business Administration Building Auditorium or via Zoom at . This event is open to the public.

Seacrist was promoted to special agent in charge of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Bureau of Investigation’s Region 4 Investigative Office in Douglas about a year ago. He is responsible for supervising criminal investigations across an 11-county area.

Seacrist is a veteran of the United States Navy. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Âé¶¹´«Ã½ in 2005. He will discuss practical leadership lessons using cases he has investigated during his career with the GBI, including the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery.

Seacrist’s visit, which is sponsored by Âé¶¹´«Ã½’s Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration, is part of the university’s recognition of Ethics Awareness Week, which kicks off Monday, Nov. 6, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 12.
