Dr. Alicja Rieger is a Professor of Special Education. She earned her Ph.D. in Special Education from Syracuse University. Dr. Rieger’s primary scholarship involves cutting edge research on humor among families living with children with disabilities; work concerning the use of children’s literature and the media with characters with disabilities for increasing disability awareness as well as research on integration of comics books and graphic novels to create supportive learning environments for struggling learners and students with disabilities. The most recent area of research focuses on the role of AI in the classroom.
